For a good while now, I've been wandering through Minecraft SMP servers to see how they function socially and economically, as well as to see new building designs and techniques. On the new map, it looks like we've begun to start getting into large scale building projects. Which is good, thats what brings in new members.

But I thought it might be a sort cool and interesting idea if some of us as a group visited other SMP servers to see how they set up town layouts and the way they built things. We could sort of set up a list of ip's ahead of time in a specific order and go to each server in corresponding order. The information and knowledge we get from doing this could make the process of growing the server smoother and easier. I don't know, just sounded like an idea worth mentioning.

Alright, lets ask around on the server who wants to come along and try to make it at a time when all or most of us can make it. Then we just go to each server and decide when to go to the next one while we're there. We'll just go down the list to keep everyone on the same one as a group.

Just checked and we have a bit of a problem. Only the last ip there actually works. The rest are whitelist or not in operation. However, from what I saw we can totally learn from it. Still though, we're going to have to come up with a new list. I've got one in mind, I'll find the ip.

They have a good general idea for planned city layouts and some order to expanding into other regions. Also theres plenty of buildings and so forth to get ideas from.
